ENT PROJECT 6 CONTINENTS – 2021/2024
In 2021 Alessandro Zannier participated, as a visual artist and musician, in the Venice Architecture Biennale (Italian Pavilion “Resilient Communities”) with the project “ENT1-Venice/Auckland”, two twin installations in Venice and at the University of Auckland(NZ) in dialogue with each other via the web.
In 2022, at the Venice Biennale of Art he presented “ENT2-Venice/Yaoundé”, a second twinning with the African continent.
In 2024, after having connected Italy with South America, Asia and Europe, the artist completes the last intercontinental connection with New York by presenting “ENT6-New York /Livorno”, two installations that combine data on annual air pollution of this cities.
Livorno was chosen because it is the town with the most polluted air near the area of Peccioli, where the exhibition twinned with New York is located.
The project idea is based on Zannier concept album “Entanglement”and the artist’s goal is to make the viewer reflect on the immediate correlation between the individual local phenomena on global scale.
